On September 19th, 2023, we successfully conducted a User Acceptance Test for insurers gathering at the Fairway Hotel. The session was led by our Technical Manager Non-Life, Juliet Igonu, who provided insurers with a comprehensive insight into the user interface and functionality of the Marine Cargo Insurance Platform.

Our primary objective during this engagement was to prepare insurers for the upcoming implementation of mandatory localization for Marine Cargo Insurance. This platform has been designed to not only streamline and simplify the process of acquiring Marine Cargo Insurance but also to facilitate customs clearance for mandatory Marine Cargo Insurance.

As a reminder to all stakeholders, the enforcement of mandatory Local Marine Cargo Insurance is set to commence on October 1st, 2023. To ensure compliance and secure your Marine Cargo cover, you have several options: You can reach out to any licensed insurance broker, agent, or bank, or you can directly engage with an insurer.
