The 2023 AGM & CEO Retreat was held on 15th & 16th June at Sea Cliff Resort, Zanzibar and featured close engagements with our Tanzanian counterparts. Some of the Core objectives included but not limited to:

• Interfacing with the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) for purposes of understanding and benchmarking on their legal and regulatory environment.
• Benchmarking on our Tanzanian counterparts for Uganda's insurance market vis-a-vis oil & gas exploration and the EACOP project, a fairly new sector in which Ugandan Insurers are participants .
• Understanding how the Tanzanian Insurance Industry has been able to grow their Microinsurance Segment, manage the high loss ratios under Medical Insurance and make inroads in the mandatory insurance of public assets, commercial buildings and markets.
