The CEO’s CLUB Cocktail 2024 organized by Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda (IBAU) in partnership with the Uganda Insurers Association (UIA) took place on 3rd April, 2024 at the UIA Office Gardens. The event that saw Underwriters & Insurance Brokers catch up on insurance-industry matters also served as a launchpad for the forthcoming IBAU Conference.
UIA Board Chairman - Latimer Mukasa lauded the brokers on the upcoming Conference noting that the entire Insurance fraternity is looking forward to it. He announced the significant approval & signing of the Standard Level Agreement and Code of Conduct and urged all insurers & brokers to uphold professionalism for the benefit of the industry.
In his speech, UIA CEO - Jonan Kisakye mentioned that the UIA has embarked on a new strategic plan which entails an Insurance Literacy & Inclusion Agenda aimed at simplifying how the public perceives and interprets insurance & enhancing stakeholder engagement which directly involves the brokers. He went on to express UIA’s commitment to collaborating with the brokers.
IBAU Board Chairman - Paul Muhame spoke about the importance of unity between insurers & brokers as a catalyst for promoting the industry. He went on to praise the positive engagements between the two parties. He also thanked all the sponsors of the upcoming 6th Annual IBAU Conference 2024.
