On 13th November, 2023, we had a productive meeting with the Mountains of the Moon University officials at our offices in Kololo, Acacia Avenue. The discussion revolved around ways to collaborate and use research projects to create impact pathways for the insurance industry, the economy & the general public.

CEO - Mr. Jonan Kisakye, Research Officer - Ms. Angella Kemigisa & Market Development Manager - Ms. Annet Katusiime represented us while Mountains of the Moon University was represented by the Dean of Faculty of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences - Prof. Joshua Wesana and Mr. Comrade Mutebi from the Office of the Academic Registrar.

Mountains of the Moon University (MMU) was originally established as a non-profit Community University in 2005. It was later taken over by the Government of the Republic of Uganda and commenced operations as a Public University on 1st July 2022. Its core academic undertakings are in the areas of Agriculture, Tourism & Environmental Conservation.

UIA looks forward to formalizing its partnership with the Mountains of the Moon University.
