As a socially responsible organization, UIA has carried out several CSR projects over the last couple of years with the aim of raising awareness on common diseases, ailments and nutrition and at the same time offer diagnostic, treatment and referral services to the community. Through these activities, we also provide an opportunity to participating medical insurance companies to interact and sensitize community members of their products and services.
The projects which include blood donation drives, health-houses, bring together the insurance companies, community, medical personnel from hospitals and health facilities in and around the community.

Our CSR Campaigns are structured in two segments.

1.      Road accident Campaigns. This is primarily anchored on the principles of social protection, designed to redeem and reduce vulnerability that may be caused by road accidents.

Under this we have projects under our Campaign ‘‘ Renewed Commitment’’. In this we partnered with 7 High way Hospitals to support recovery of accident victims. So far we have completed Kawolo Hospital, Nkozi Hospital and Kiruddu Hospital.

2. General Campaigns. This is where we contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature by engaging in or supporting volunteering or ethically-oriented practices.

These projects include; Rotaract Ladies at work, SOS Children’s Village and Support to Covid 19 National Task Force,
